Air purifier for kindergarten and nursery - Klarta Stor

Air purifier for kindergarten and nursery - Klarta Stor

An air purifier in a kindergarten reduces pollution levels by up to 50%. Research conducted in 2018 by scientists from the University of Warsaw in 4 kindergartens in Warsaw showed that an air purifier in an educational facility makes sense.

In rooms where the air purifier was installed, pollution levels were reduced by 40-50% compared to other rooms.

It is also worth mentioning the results of studies by Spanish scientists who proved the harmful effects of particulate matter and nitrogen dioxide on children's cognitive processes, particularly evident in students attending schools located near busy traffic routes.

Children as the main beneficiaries of clean air

The air we breathe daily affects our body's efficiency, respiratory, immune systems, and cognitive processes. This is especially important for the elderly, those with reduced immunity, and children.

Their immune system develops with age up to about 15 years old. Respiratory tracts, which lack proper defense mechanisms, are also more prone to infections, especially if they are irritated daily by dry and polluted air.

Studies involving children under 5 years old indicate that an increase in PM2.5 levels by 10 µg/m³ increases the likelihood of upper respiratory tract infections by 13%. The impact of PM10 particulate matter on the increased risk of pneumonia and bronchitis, which are particularly dangerous in children, is also confirmed.

Researchers from New York have shown a link between exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and developmental delays in three-year-olds.

How does Klarta Stor care for children's health?

The Klarta Stor air purifier is valued in many educational institutions and private homes. Stor takes a more rigorous approach to air quality issues, offering technologies that meet all the needs of existing users.

  • The Klarta Stor air purifier absorbs up to 99.95% of solid pollutants from the air.
  • The carbon filter traps harmful aromatic hydrocarbons, sulfur, nitrogen, and carbon oxides.
  • An efficient brushless motor ensures an impressive efficiency of 600 m³/h, translating to up to 860 ft² of cleaned space.
  • Quiet (from 24 dB) and energy-efficient operation ensures comfortable conditions for work, study, and rest, meeting current noise standards in educational facilities.
  • By purifying the air from smog, Klarta Stor also reduces the number of viruses carried with it, helping to survive the cold and flu season.

The perfect air purifier for a nursery, kindergarten, school, and home

Opening windows in winter inevitably invites polluted air masses inside. Staying in unventilated rooms results in drowsiness and decreased concentration.

Fortunately, no more compromises! The Klarta Stor kindergarten air purifier effectively removes dust, bacteria, viruses, and allergens, including ubiquitous dust (click to learn more about the dust air purifier).

Importantly, the device is extremely quiet, not interfering with daily learning and rest.

The modern brushless DC motor combines immense cleaning efficiency with quiet operation. In silent mode, Klarta Stor generates only 24 dB of noise, which is practically imperceptible in daily use.

In turbo mode, the device boasts a CADR of 600 m³/h, making it suitable for an area of up to 860 ft². Klarta Stor  is the ideal air purifier for kindergartens, schools, libraries, offices, clinics, and other public places.

Our purifier can also be a quiet hero in your home. Equipped with a strict automatic mode, Stor  does not give contaminants a chance, recognizing bad air where PM2.5 levels exceed 15 µg/m³.

Thus, the device will automatically increase its cleaning speed, allowing you to stay focused on your daily tasks.

The air purifier also helps young allergy sufferers

One in four children in Poland suffers from allergic rhinitis. In a study by Prof. Ewa Czarnobilska involving 21,000 children from Krakow, it was found that half of them suffer from various allergies due to smog generated by exhaust fumes and low emissions.

Klarta kindergarten air purifiers use sensitive PM2.5 sensors that detect the presence of not only smog substances but also plant pollen, house dust mites, and animal dander.

Moreover, thanks to effective large-surface HEPA H13 filters, the device can capture almost 100% of microscopic particles, such as plant pollen or dust mite droppings.

The carbon filter helps neutralize irritating odors, such as acetone or formaldehyde, which also often exacerbate allergy symptoms.

Viruses, like allergens, can bind with particulate matter, allowing them to travel greater distances. Outdoor pollutants can enter even with closed doors and windows (typically, about 30-40% of outdoor pollutants are found indoors).

In nurseries or kindergartens, there is constant transmission of bacteria and viruses during children's daily activities. In such conditions, sterility is very difficult to maintain.

An air purifier for nurseries and kindergartens can help neutralize some of the dangerous viruses and bacteria, which seems particularly important during the flu season or the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

How to ensure clean air in kindergarten? Automatic air filtration with Klarta Stor

Thanks to the extensive WiFi Full Automation feature, Klarta Stor works well in daily care for children, both at home and in school or kindergarten.

What is automation? It's primarily the ability to set your own operating rules – a convenient simplification of daily use. Below are some simple ready-made rules that can be successfully applied in a kindergarten room depending on the time of day and children's activities.

Sample operating rules for Klarta Stor in kindergarten

1. 6:00 AM – turn on the purifier in Auto Turbo mode. The air in the room will be purified before the children arrive at the kindergarten or nursery.

2. 7:00 AM – switch the automatic mode to Auto Normal to limit noise in case of high pollution.

3. 12:00 PM – switch the automatic mode to Auto Sleep so that nothing disturbs the nap time.

4. 1:00 PM – switch the automatic mode to Auto Normal so the purifier works faster during children's activities.

5. 6:00 PM – turn off the device.

The air quality in the kindergarten room can vary greatly throughout the day. In winter mornings, higher concentrations of PM2.5 and other smog pollutants should always be expected. It is worth remembering to use the purifier regularly from Monday to Friday.

How to protect children from smog? Tips

1. Ventilate kindergarten rooms several times a day – Cold or polluted air should not discourage us from ventilating the rooms. Otherwise, CO² levels can be too high, and the atmosphere in the room becomes drowsy.

It is good to ventilate the classroom before the children arrive at the kindergarten, after they leave, and during their stay, after finished physical play (it is worth moving the children to another place so they do not catch a cold). Rooms should also be ventilated briefly but intensively. 5-10 minutes of wide-open windows is enough. After such a quick air exchange, it is worth turning on the air purifier.

2. During the smog season, purify the air around the clock (except when windows are open) – During periods of high smog concentrations, the device can work even around the clock.

The pollution levels should remain constantly low, and the purifier can work in quiet modes. Electricity consumption should not be a concern, as it is low even in intensive work modes.

3. In case of poor air quality, avoid outdoor activities – It is worth taking a moment daily to check the current air quality.

Websites, such as the General Inspectorate of Environmental Protection or mobile apps like Airly, are convenient sources of information. Although not always a rule, higher smog concentrations are observed in the evening and early morning than during the day. Low temperatures favor the accumulation of pollutants at ground level.

4. Investing in air-purifying plants – spider plant, snake plant, and Boston fern, among others. The list of air-purifying plants is quite long, so there is a lot to choose from. They are not able to trap particulate matter, but they can help absorb gaseous pollutants.
