Install Smart Life
Free on the App Store and Google Play. One account covers every Klarta device you own. Create an account first — pairing needs it.

Plug in & power on
Connect your Forste, Stor or Humea and switch it on at the panel.

Put the phone on 2.4 GHz
Klarta devices do not see 5 GHz networks. If your router merges both bands, split them or turn 5 GHz off for two minutes.

Activate Wi-Fi — the buttons differ by model
Hold the Wi-Fi button
Forste and Stor have their own Wi-Fi button on the panel. Hold it for about 3 seconds, until it beeps and the Wi-Fi icon blinks. A steady icon means the device is not in pairing mode.
Hold the Auto button
Humea has no separate Wi-Fi button: the Auto button does both jobs. Hold Auto until the Wi-Fi icon flashes quickly.

Add the device in Smart Life
In Smart Life tap Add device and follow the prompts (on the Humea, choose Auto Scan). Keep the phone, the device and the router close together for the first connection.

Remote control and the panel keep working exactly as before — the app is an addition, not a requirement.
The app cannot find my device.
Klarta devices connect to 2.4 GHz networks only. Put your phone on the 2.4 GHz band during pairing, keep the phone, the device and the router within a few feet of each other, and make sure the Wi-Fi icon is blinking, not steady, before you add it. If it still fails, email support@klarta.com with your model and router brand.
The Wi-Fi icon does not blink
The device is not in pairing mode yet. On Forste and Stor, hold the Wi-Fi button for about 3 seconds until it beeps; on the Humea, hold Auto. The icon should then blink.
It pairs, then drops off
Move the device closer to the router for the first connection, or check the network is not isolating clients. Once paired, it stays paired.
I changed my Wi-Fi network. How do I reconnect?
On Forste and Stor, hold the Wi-Fi button for 3 seconds until it beeps to reset the connection; on the Humea, hold Auto. Then add the device in Smart Life again.
Can two people control the same device?
Yes. Share the home in Smart Life and every invited account can control the devices in it.
Does the app work away from home?
Yes — as long as the device has Wi-Fi, you can change modes and check readings from anywhere.
Do I need the app at all?
No. Every function is available from the panel and the remote. The app adds remote control, schedules and filter reminders.
